The City of Perris Community Services Department is establishing a Community Emergency Response (CERT) Team. CERT Training classes are forming now - the next session will run from September 12- 14.

September 13: Community Tree Planting Day!
All City residents are welcomed to participate in the City’s first tree planting event Saturday, September 13 from
8 am to 12 noon at Foss Field Park. The goal is to plant 100 trees in targeted areas. Bring your family and friends, and learn how you can help plant a tree in your community. For more info or to volunteer, contact Sabrina Chavez at (951) 943-5003 ext. 278.  

Back to School...
If you have a young child heading back to school, we have a list of local schools and districts for the City of Perris. Please remember, the first day of school for Val Verde District is August 14; for Perris Union, it's August 12. Perris Elementary is on a year-round schedule.

Cleaning out the garage and closets in hope of holding a yard sale? Be sure to do it legally by purchasing a yard sale permit from the City for $7.50.

Solar Shine Program's World Class Finish In London, on June 16, 2008  winners for the Urban Land Institute Sustainable Cities Award Competition were announced. The City of Perris’ Solar Shine Program, which involves a public-private partnership to produce solar energy and implement several city-wide energy conservation measures, was listed among twenty finalists, from a broad mix of 86 exemplary applicants from all over the world.  Read the Urban Land Institute Press Release...
