Attention Patrons and Friends of Riverside Arts Center:
The long awaited project to construct an elevator and stair connector between our two buildings has begun!
From July 1st thru December 1st we will be in "excuse our dust" mode.
All scheduled events will take place and the public should encounter little to detract from their Riverside experience.

On top of our current elevator project we have been informed of two other grant awards.
One from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority to refurbish the facade of our Off-Center
and another from the Michigan Council for the Arts & Cultural Affairs to enlarge our theatre lobby
and provide other amenities.

We hope you are as excited as we are as we enable more space to be used for the arts in downtown Ypsilanti.

PTD Productions presents
Born Yesterday
by Garson Kanin

This 1940's classic comedy takes place in Washington D.C. Uncouth, corrupt tycoon, Harry Brock, has come to “influence” a politician or two. He has brought with him his showgirl mistress Billie Dawn. Afraid she’ll embarrass him in front of the congressman he is planning to bribe, Harry hires journalist, Paul Verrall to educate Billie. Blossoming under Paul’s encouragement, Billy turns out to be much smarter than anybody knew and begins thinking for herself. Billie has a natural honesty and a frank streak in her, and she begins to learn about history, politics, and what Harry really is and what he wants and begins interfering with his plans. Of course, everyone gets the education they deserve.

Performances Thursday through Saturday at 8:00 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Please see the PTD website for details.

In the Gallery: (Hours: Thursdays–Saturdays, 3:00-9:00 PM, and Sundays, 1:30-4:00 PM )
